Beyond is committed to giving out grants which will truly make a difference to the mental health of young people up and down the UK.
We are thrilled to announce that we have awarded new grants to three incredible and worthy charities:
Cambridgeshire charity Blue Smile provides 1:1 arts therapy to children at schools in disadvantaged areas who are experiencing complex emotional difficulties. They aim to intervene early to improve long-term wellbeing, with 94% of parents saying their children’s mental health has improved because of Blue Smile’s support.
The charity has adapted their services in the face of the pandemic after seeing a significant increase in mental health difficulties faced by children in Cambridgeshire as a result of lockdown.
We are delighted to provide a grant to help support Blue Smile in their incredible work:
Set up in memory of Hector Stringer who tragically took his own life at the age of 18, this Hertfordshire based charity’s mission is to stop suicide by making sure everyone has access to the mental health support they need.
We are thrilled to be able to give a grant to the charity to help provide emergency treatment to young people who are in desperate need of therapeutic services during and beyond the COVID-19 pandemic:
Teapot Trust exists to provide early intervention support to children and young people with chronic health conditions across the country. Almost a third of young people who die by suicide in the UK have a physical health condition. By providing professional art therapy to children and young people with debilitating long-term conditions Teapot Trust can improve their emotional wellbeing and prevent serious mental health conditions developing.
We are very happy to award the charity with a grant as they find their services in demand more than ever before due to the pandemic:
We were thrilled to help support such phenomenal charities and look forward to developing ongoing partnerships.
